When you want to leave dry land there are a number of options available that will provide a memorable and slightly different team building experience.
The UK has The Solent, a world famous stretch of water on the South Coast which offers a wide selection of water based activities. The surrounding area also has an excellent selection of hotels and restaurants and very good transport links, being just two hours by road or rail from London.
Sailing is great fun and naturally team building, as everyone on board has to work together when sailing a yacht. Yachts of various sizes can be chartered with experienced skippers who will show the crew the ropes. Sailing is loved by many but it isn’t for everyone so it’s worth checking with the team that it’s something they want to do.
If motor boats are more appealing then you might consider RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats). These are safe, often being used as safety or rescue boats, but very fast with a speed of around 40 knots. The sense of speed is amplified by your proximity to the water. A fast trip over to the Isle Of Wight with fish and chips at Salties, a famous restaurant, and a blast back to the mainland is a fabulous experience.
Larger motor vessels can be chartered, ranging from glamorous Sunseekers up to large motor yachts. There are boats to suit all requirements and disabled participants can also be accommodated.
