Trial By Jury is an event which takes place over dinner. Each table acts as both a prosecutor and jury member at the end of the case. A snooker player has been murdered, his rival is the defendant and his wife, mistress and a pub landlord appear as witnesses.
A Judge oversees this court room simulation event and guides the process, keeping the court room in order. Witnesses take the stand between courses of the meal and are cross examined by a representative from each table, often fulfilling the fantasy of acting as a barrister. At the end of the evening each table delivers a guilty or not guilty verdict and the defendant is judged on the balance.
How does it usually end? That would be telling, however we are always impressed by the questions asked and how seriously the jurors take their responsibility. But more than anything, it’s great fun!

This is a really good concept!
Interesting
Do you use former/current official judges/lawyers?
We use actors. Actually I played the judge yesterday in Holborn Bars in London. It’s quite intense, particularly when the audience ask for guidance. If I could find someone with legal experience that might be interesting.
Sounds like something I would enjoy doing.
Mock Cases and Court Related Issues are very interesting.
Did Redman speak with a French accent? If yes, he’d thank his wife for standing by him ‘through sick and sin’.
