Cooking is the big trend in team building at the moment. There are several reasons for this; it appeals to a broad church, it’s a tranferable life skill that people want to learn more about and, importantly, in the current climate it doesn’t seem so frivolous as some other activities.

Cookery Team Building
So, how does team building cooking event work? It’s pretty straight forward, as you can imagine. The team is set a challenge and must prepare a meal. Variables will include the size of the team and time scale, so with larger events teams may be divided into starters, main courses and sweets. In some cases the team may be running a simulated restaurant, so decoration, menus and even business plans come into the event. It’s very flexible specific goals can be included.
Versions on the theme can include Chinese food, or any nationality and even international themes. Imagine a huge event themed on cookery from around The World.
Another very popular event is chocolate making, but that has so much potential that it deserves an entry all of its own. Watch this space!
Sounds like fun! Team building activities are important to enhance employee working skills as well as their relationship skills. It’s also a good break from all the stress in work.
