Go Mad In The Country was developed by Progressive Resources, The Team Building Company, as a fun activity to combine a treasure hunt with a murder mystery. The storyline is based on the Comic Strip’s parody of the famous five, Five Go Mad In Dorset.
Clients arrive to meet Uncle Quentin, a government scientist, who is fairly quickly murdered. They then go off to find suspects and clues with the aim of solving the murder. This works well in any location but it was developed in the New Forest to be done on mountain bikes. Clients get very involved, some even dressing up for the part in school uniforms. Each team has a toy ‘Timmy The Dog’ who goes around with them and has to be included in the photographs.
The best events are like stages on which the clients act out their experience. This shared experience means that they get very personal highlights from the day and some still remember their Go Mad experience years after it happened.

The Parmesan Job
The Parmesan Job is an excellent fun team building event. The storyline is a tribute to the famous film The Italian Job. Characters play out a plot based around a gold heist and participants play along to try to stop the crime before it happens. Each team has a selection of resources including a map, clue pack and disguises. They also get a new Mini to use for the day.

Segway fun team building activity
Segways are a brilliant team building activity. They are fun electric two wheeled vehicles operated by the movements of the person on board. Learn forward and they go forwards, pull back and they reverse. Then it gets tricky; lean to the side and they turn. It seems hard at first and you have to put a lot of trust in the driving technique.
Instructors look after new users and give them one on one tuition until they feel confident to head off on their own. Segways have two speeds; normal of around 12.5 mph (20.1 kph) and a special ‘Turtle’ mode which is more suitable for beginners.
The best way to experience this activity is in a ’round robin’ format with other activities because only one person can ride a Segway at any one time. Usually two are provided and other activities might include Laser Clay Shooting, Archery and other motorised activities such as Quad Bikes.
All in all it’s a great fun team building event, a new experience for most and an interesting memory to take away.

Fun team building event - toilet racing
The corporate event industry is forever coming up with new ideas; it has to keep an increasingly experienced and sophisticated clientele happy. So, what could be more sophisticated than this? Toilet racing uses real converted toilets (yes, really!) with a motor attached racing around a colourful inflatable arena. Fun? I think so.
